The solo exhibition ‘Art.Chi.Textures’ in Galeria Espaço Aberto in Alto Paraíso de Gíoas brought my work in architecture, art and energetic therapy together. Mixed media panels with crystal quartz, wood and organic naturally dyed cotton, were presented with the intention to radiate harmonious vibrations towards both the space and its visitors.
Art.Chi.Textures integrate my Dutch nationality and background in architecture with my experience of living and working in Brazil for many years. Living in national park Chapada dos Veadeiros, on a large crystal plate, I saw the earth ‘spitting out’ crystals. Their light reflections, their natural geometric shapes and their process accelerating frequencies inspired me to stage them in almost architectural maquette-like objects that bring crystal energy into space.
