Exhibition ‘Circular na Praça’ SãO Paulo

February 19 - July 15 2022

For the fifth edition of the group exhibition ‘Circular na Praça’, initiated by Farah Service, on Praça Adolpho Bloch, a park in the hart of São Paulo, Brazil, curator Marc Pottier invited artists to re-interpret Neo Concretism.

Acompanied by Kura Arte in Sao Paulo, Janet Vollebregt created the installation ‘Tree Talismans’ for this exhibition.

The installation ‘Tree Talismans’ brings Neo-Concrete geometric forms to the park, while embracing the tree-bodies and providing the trees with adornment and protection. The crystal pendants are geometrical forms ánd soft natural forms at the same time, as nature has grown them all slightly different. By offering Talismans for Trees, Janet asks attention to treat our planet Earth or mother Gaia as a living entity.

The exhibition runs from February 19 until July 15 2022
